When should I think about participating in the exchange program?
If you have a strong commitment to go on exchange with the BBA Program, you should start thinking about it from day one of your first academic year. Focusing on making good grades, along with joining some extra-curriculum activities, will lead you all the way to the road of exchange.
How many students are accepted to each school?
Normally, it depends on the seating quota set by each partner school. The seating quota is primarily based on a number of the reciprocal exchange students over the period of approximately 3 years. Therefore, it varies year by year for each school.
What should I do to make sure that all credits earned at the partner university are transferable to the BBA Program to meet graduation requirements?
It is strongly recommended that you be responsible for making a study plan in accordance with your major prior to applying for any schools of choice. Some partner universities may not offer the courses you must take to meet graduation requirements. Thus, you need to gather information, research on the course availability and meet with a BBA Program advisor/staff before the deadline of the application.
Is it possible for me to transfer all credits earned at the BBA Program to the partner university that I went on exchange so as to earn a degree from that university instead of Thammasat University?
Generally speaking, it is possible. However, referred to a basic philosophy of having an exchange program with other academic institutions, we discourage any attempts of the BBA students to transfer all credits earned at the BBA Program to the partner university.
What are ISEP and the exchange programs under the University’s network of international partners?
Apart from exploring the exchange experience with the BBA Program, the students may choose to go on exchange under ISEP or International Student Exchange Program (www.isep.org), a network of US universities and colleges cooperating to promote international educational experiences. Also, you may apply for a number of partner universities under the University’s network, such as Yonsei University (Korea), Waseda University (Japan). You can obtain more information at the International Affairs Office, Dome Building.
Anything else that I need to know about the exchange program?
